Physical game playing is a fun way for residents to exercise, helping to maintain strength and flexibility.  Using the less dominant hand (as well as the dominant) when throwing and catching should also be encouraged where possible. Laughter and the opportunity for social interaction become hugely important in later life and group game playing creates the perfect environment to promote those all important feelings of well being.
